BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP
The Italian Cultural Institute of Louisville sponsors a book discussion group for dues paid members. Any member of ICI is welcome to suggest a book. We are looking for serious and enjoyable stories and issues about Italian culture, past and present, and we would very much like the person who suggests a book to attend and facilitate the discussion.
The book to be discussed will be announced to members two to three months in advance of the gathering, and will be at the residence of a host. A facilitator will open the conversation.
Discussions last approximately an hour, and there is time for light snacks and socializing. Once a list of attendees has been formed, they will be given instructions about how to reach the host’s house.
The maximum number of discussants is ten (although any host is welcome to increase that number), and all slots need to be requested in advance. Should there be more than ten members interested, there will be a waiting list. Non-members of ICI are welcome; however, priority will be given to paid members.
